Salsa’s began it’s journey in 1998 in the most unlikely place, (at the time) South Boston. Owner David Littlefield had an interest in bringing a different flavor of food to the neighborhood. His love of Mexican food, combined with the need fueled his passion. Here at Salsa’s we want you not only to enjoy our food. We truly want you to enjoy yourselves.

Maria Cidello is Salsa’s head Chef. A native of Cuernavaca Mexico. “Mexican cuisine began in the same way as most of the world’s great cuisines and traditional recipes. Meals for the family based on fresh local ingredients, combined with family legacies passed down from grandmother to mother to daughter. Each generation adding its own creativity until there is an identifiable style of cooking.” Maria is happy to share her love for cooking here with you, as she is always striving to give us a sample of Mexico’s broad culinary heritage..... David started in the food business 15 years ago after graduating from college. His career started with one sausage cart outside of then Foxboro Stadium. He has since become a fixture of the Boston landscape and has fans around the country. His most famous location is Lansdowne Street, outside of Fenway Park.

David started in the food business 15 years ago after graduating from college. His career started with one sausage cart outside of then Foxboro Stadium. He has since become a fixture of the Boston landscape and has fans around the country. His most famous location is Lansdowne Street, outside of Fenway Park. David took that cart from Foxboro and parlayed it into a pizza shop and the first Salsa’s both in South Boston. Littlefield Restaurant Group is now comprised of “The Sausage Guy” on Lansdowne Street/Fenway Park, Salsa’s in South Boston, and now in Hingham. David and his wife Rosemary have three children Sawyer, Jett, and baby Grace.
